I saw this movie called Snowalker. I was about a pilot that crashed in Alaska. He had to learn how to adapt to the harsh weather and live in the wilderness. He fatefully meets an eskimo that is really sick, but she helps him learn how to survive. In the movie, there were scenes with aurora borealies. They are so pretty. The pictures are of aurora borealis in Alaska. I wish we had some once in a while in Hawaii. I wonder how they are formed.
This is a picture of Mount Rainier. It is a really inspiring picture. A lot of people use it as a backround for peace posters. I have a serenity poster with this beautiful picture of Mount Raiier reflecting in the lake. I like this picture because the colors are so vivid and pristine. I am glad there a places in the world where people can visit and feel inspired by its greatness.

I like to go hiking with my friends. My favorite hike is Maunawili Falls in Kailua. It is a pretty easy hike that is shaded the whole way and at the end is a waterfall. The water is really cold so it is refreshing after the hike. If you swim out to the waterfall, you can climb up the rocks and jump into the pool. Another good hike is the pillbox hike, which is also in Kailua. It is short but very rewarding. There are two pillboxes at the end of the hike which were used in WWII as a lookout station. There is a beautiful view of the ocean, and at certain times of the year you can see whales. From the pillboxes, you can see all of Kailua and most of Kaneohe and Waimanalo.
